On an actual question note: Does the general rule they talk about adding 3psi for every 1/4" of tire rollover still apply with today's current crop of tires? I can see it going either way.
No, too general of a rule. Variables include the tire width, wheel size, aspect ratio, tire construction.

That's what I thought at first, but know "general rules" are named such for a reason. When I played with tire pressures on tracks years ago that ratio never came to mind, so I was kind of surprised to hear there was such a thing for "all" tires. Thanks for confirming.
