I will be at the SCCA event, but it looks way to easy and not that much fun. I like to turn, straights with nothing to do are not that much fun to me, but I love a nice big sweeper. I know the BMW guys are a little different, so do whatever makes them happy. Just my 2 cents.

I think the first section from the start is good, but then on the right side of the map there could be a few more slaloms and offsets. Then on the top of the map a few things would be easily implemented. Braking in the Marbles from the top of 4th gear is not always the best.

Just a few gates or slaloms would make the course great.

This was a quick re-edit I did on paint that I think would be more fun. Would still be safe as long as the distances between the sections was enough.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am skipping the NASA event so I will be at the BMW event. Don't worry it will be a fast, but challenging course.

Please excuse the dumb question, but I have to: what is the forgiveness of tires out here for tech inspections? The inner inch - at most- part of my front street tires are bald. Would not pass a NJ state inspection for sure, but they are NOT to the cords, not even close. The rest of the front tires would pass inspection. It is purely because I ran lots of camber on the flat straight streets on FL and now TX. The rears are like 5/32" evenly across.

I only ask because I am actually chomping at the bit to get to an auto-x sooner than later, but I know my tires would have failed me from participating in NJ if I didn't know the organizers. Meaning they are "safe" enough for people I know running events but not for legal inspections. I can provide pics if needed, but figured if you are all hardasses there is no point to get that far.

I wouldn't drive to Mineral Wells on bald tires, let alone AX on them. MW is like a cheese grater on tires to boot....don't risk it.

There is easily 1000+ miles left on them, hence my question. I'm actually very anal about tires, unbelievably so actually, so when I say that section is bald I mean like 3/32 or just under the legal limit I am used to. But noted, thanks.

Pictures of the WORST of the tires would be helpful. You could easily burn through a tire with "1000+" miles left.

Rob, my rs3 have been bald for awhile now, they are my last years tires from the hole season, I've been waiting to get down to the belts and it still has not got there, u will be fine with 10 runs on those tires

Depending on the spacing of releasing cars the area between the bottom right of corner 4 and in between corner 1 and 2 looks a bit sketchy.

I can't get a good picture since I only have my phone at the moment. I did measure them all though: 3/4" of the very inner edge of my fronts is 1/32". Then goes to 2/32" (wear bars) for an inch, then to 3/32" for the rest of the tire. The rears, like I said, are all 6/32" across evenly. That said, I will sit this one out. But I'd still like to get an idea for future reference (on future tires obviously).
