After two 10-hours days at the TMS Road Course and another one tomorrow, I will either be expertly hydrated or a dead raisin come Sunday. It was definitely a scorcher today.

I had a great time today, and enjoyed the course. However, I need to remember to bring FOOD to the next event! Skipping lunch didn't work well with me. I didn't eat a big breakfast, so drinking all that water throughout the day just made me nausious (sp?).

Big thanks to Ken for doing a run in my car. I was really pleased to hear that your time for that 1 run (with a passenger on "cold" tires) resulted in an 86.0! I really wish you would have taken another run without me in the car! I also wish my iPhone had actually recorded the run! I'm comforted to know that my car has so much potential, since there were clearly several things that would have made you faster on a second run (better launch, less weight, warm tires and brakes, and familiarity with the car).

I couldn't go faster in an S2000 over an M3. The would bend my Roundel and send me home.

I really like your S2000. It was power and easy to driver. I think low 85s with another run or two. The S2000 was much more balanced in the tighter stuff.

    My fastest run.

    M3 is always the answer.

Thanks! My S2000 does have great mid-range torque, but until I got the Ohlins, that extra torque just made it hard to drive. Instead of thinking about where I could improve my line, I spent all my effort trying to figure out where I could give it throttle without getting squirly. The Ohlins changed everything, so I actually get to work on my line!

Since I've only done 2 events on the Ohlins, both of which were at Mineral Wells, I don't know whether to expect more or less from them at TMS. I would definitely like for you to take a couple more runs at the next event. If you have any comments about the suspension that you want to share in my Review Thread, that would be valuable too.

BTW, any idea when the results will be posted? Since I was in such a rush to get food into my belly, I don't even know if I kept the lead in Y class.

Is the speed correct in that video? I figured your top speed at the end of the long straight would have been much higher than that.

Working on getting the results off the laptop. Might be a day or two. I think you won Y.

Yes, it is GPS based. On the speedometer it was ~115. Most speedometers read higher than actual speed. I think it has something to do with regulations and fines. It is ok to be higher but not lower. Odd thing is my speed was faster on the straights on other runs but I was slower elsewhere on the course. Best theoretical time was a high 84 according to data analysis.

My GPS Speedo showed me at 90 on the back straight.

Same here. That means low-80s in my car.

I have found that my speedo is usually within 1-2 mph of accurate when we tested when building the car. The peak speed feature showed 90. Should I assume that I hit 90 at some point on the straight?

Plus, I keep telling you that M3s are not that fast.

I agree that speedo's will almost always read some amount higher than actual. Fortunately, my speedo reads less than 1 MPH faster than actual while on my autocross tires (according to my Passport 9500ix). I don't know what my fastest top speed was on that straight, but I did look down a couple times to see 100+, and I'm pretty sure I saw 102 briefly when Ken was driving my car.
