I'm off on thursdays!!!!! Someone else has my jacked up schedule, lol.
After an exact decade at my company I put in my resignation to move for greener pastures in the networking field(programming sucks when you're in corporate hell). My new job schedule is an odd one, basically completely takes me out of attending any autocrosses and leaves noon on Thursday as my new Saturday night, when everyone I know will be working, kids at daycare. To keep from getting bored and depressed I was thinking of heading out to Dallas Karting Complex maybe once or twice /month to take advantage of their $15/race specials.
Anyone on here have a weird schedule that doesn't work Thursdays?
I haven't officially started the new job yet, and won't be on this schedule untill another 3-4 weeks, just kicking the idea around. What do yall think?
Either way since i'm pretty sure my company will be giving me the boot tomorrow, I may be heading out this Thursday with an old co-worker. Anyone interested in tagging along or meeting up there let me know.

Completely forgot about this thread. I've been pulling non standard shifts during training, i'm finally onto my normal, non-normal schedule.

I think I'm free. Also, went to pole position in frisco today, and that was quite fun, although a bit different feel from DKC.

I thought about checking out Pole Position one month. How much is it vs DKC? (considering track size/laps per run/fun factor) Their website isn't very informative.

Almost as fun, but a lot less of a beating on the body. Track is short and twisty 1/4 mile total. No straight aways really. 10 minute heat is $22, so price is about the same. Plus side is it is indoors, and it was well maintained. I havent been back to DKC since they opened, so I'm not sure of the condition of their equipment

^ Their karts seem well maintained. Helmets are beat up and funky as hell. I've been on a couple karts with tweaked suspension and pulled pretty bad, one was bad enough to not make right turns at all. They immediately pulled it out of grid for maintenance and gave me a free run though.

I had a lot of fun at dkc 2 weeks ago. had a blast the guy said they where getting new helmets in a couple of weeks.
1990 Blue with a 04 VVT engine, DIYPNP 550cc inj, Garret 2560, Intercooler and BOV, 1.8 LSD rear end. Sways and Mazda speed shocks and mounts, sport brakes, plus other misc stuff.
oh best lap was a 77.04 which is not good enough to even drive the 70mph cart let alone the 74 seconds required to rent the shifter cart.

I have the same problem, cant break into 76. I thought the karts were just too weak to haul my heavy ass around the track, but then I heard about a 350# guy that ran a 74.something. Now I have no excuse, I guess I just suck.
