Left from Pflugerville (cuts off about 25 miles) straight onto the toll road, probably averaged 80-85 with the V1, not much traffic on the road and highways all the way to my exit in Frisco.

I left the La Quinta on the Austin/Round Rock line Saturday at 9 and we made it home by 5 in the Malibu. We took the scenic route and stopped at every junk store from Lampassas to Burleson

Geez I'm going to be pissed if they don't get here in time. For the 15 bucks in fees they could at least deliver tickets on time.

buying my ticket now. Is General Admission pretty good? Looks like the reserved seating is $250 vs the LivingSocial deal of $79 for a sunday GA pass.

    Link to the deal.

GA is good if you get there early enough to snag a spot. The good places fill up pretty fast.

Tell me more about the "good places", lol. I only have sunday so no time to explore. Any preferred corners to shoot for? I'll probably walk around a bit after the vintage race, unless, well it'll probably be too damn crowded to try to move anywhere.

Anywhere up high on the berm in turn 1, the hairpin, or turn 19. Last year I found my spot at about 8am and made friends to watch it if I needed to hit the head or buy food.

Turn 1 was again a great place to be. By my estimation it was more crowded than last year.
