    Default New STS 2 Car

Well, I got tired of trying to find a decent example of 94/97 Miata to build for STS for under 3K. I know, I'm cheap. I gave up on it last week and found a CRX Si in Atlanta for 2500. and left Thursday AM with a dolly and dragged it back home Friday night. Pretty decent car that has been running in G Stock in Atlanta and should make a competitive car for STS 2. I knew that as soon as I bought this car, Miata opportunities would abound.... Looking at the For Sale board, I see I was right...

Isn't that how it always works out?

I'm surpised you were able to find an unmolested CRX Si - I look around for them occasionally, but all the ones I see typically have motor swaps and a bunch of cheap aftermarket junk on them.

If anybodys interested, I know a guy with a black 91 civic SI hatchback 5spd, with head gasket problems.

He'll let it go cheeeeap, its just sitting there begging for STS...

I lucked out on this one. I hate to buy a car sight unseen, but the guy provided about 40 photos and pointed out all the bad stuff, as well as the good stuff. It has new Koni adjustables on it already, but I will need coil-over kits and springs, suspension bushings, shifter bushings, header, tires and wheels (which I have one set of, but don't like), small, lightweight battery, tune-able fuel managment system, race seats, and exhaust system.
