Recommended Reading?

Hi,

I'm giving myself some books to read over the Holidays in preparation for the autox season next year. I did a quick Google Search and found this list:

Are there any of these that you would personally recommend? Are there others? I've had multiple people recommend the Speed Secrets series, so I'll probably pick those up. But if there are additional recommendations from this group, I'd love to hear them.

The Speed Secrets by Ross Bentley is pretty good for some starting theory of driving techniques.

I've got a couple of the Speed Secretsseries and like them. I've also got the Bondurant book, but while ithas some good nuggets is a bit disorganized at least compared toSpeed Secrets. I do not have Drive to Win, but I've heard its good.

I suggest reading "The Art of Racing in the Rain" for a more holistic view of what makes smoothness and anticipation so critical to any type of racing, plus its a great read.

Beyond that, read this: "seat time, seat time, seat time!"

What are you wanting to learn?

Well, I will have some downtime over the Holidays. So I was thinking about just filling up my reading time with some good books on driving and racing. It's more about keeping my mind occupied than anything else. I guess the upside would be that I'd have a lot of the concepts in my head when I eventually make it back to the track and drive with an instructor. Then I can focus on applying the techniques on the track vs. learning the concepts for the first time. It's about making effective use of my time.
