You will have lots of opportunity to take pictures when you are not working or driving.

Bring your camera. You can get great shots from on top of the stands when you are not working or driving.

I guess my question is ... will there be time that I'm not working or driving?

When you are done driving and your work heat hasn't started yet. If drive early in your heat, you'll have plenty of time before you have to work.

Dallas Raceway will have their snack bar open to serve lunch on Saturday, so bring some cash for some vittles. Not a lot of places to eat in the area.

And note, they ONLY take cash. No credit/debit cards.

That would be funnier if you realized the Hoosier connection when you did it. :)

Tentative Run/Work Order: (this event uses the AB/BA format and a different PM course)

    Work A, Run B: 1, 1R, 3R, S2K

    Work B, Run A: 2, 2R, 3

I hope that the AB/BA format does not become the format for all events. I really don't care for it.

    Need Advice Re: Tire Presure

For those of you who race a Miata (NA, NB or preferably NC), what tire pressure will you start with in an event like this? I believe the thing on the door suggests 29psi? Would you start there and then do the chalk test or tire temp test? I've never done this before and could use some suggestions here.

    Thanks,

    MS

Since we are changing the course at lunch, this will allow each group the opportuinity to watch how others handle the course first (while working). We will continue with ABAB for normal events.

That makes sense at this event.

I think most recommend running very high pressure on stock tires, like 35 and above. Definitely higher than 29. The Chalk can be used to determine when it's too low.

When I first autocrossed my NC with stock suspension and tires, I ended up with 30F/28R but that was for the slick TMS bus lot. By the time we started racing at this site I had switched tires to 225 Star Specs and an alignment and ended up with 35F/34R.

I would start in the 35 range, then go down till you find the pressure they want.
