    7.) Pikes Peak

We thought Pikes Peak was the most difficult hillclimb in the world back when it was largely composed of an unpaved dirt road with straight drop-offs down the Colorado Rockies. Now the whole thing is paved and somehow it has become even more dangerous.

That is the same Evo that my Miata was picking on a few years ago at MSR-C. I have the vid up on YouTube (miata @ cresson). It was still mostly a street car then, with only 450whp. KevinD was making soo much noise about how fast it was gonna be at Pikes Peak...sucks it didn't make it. Only good thing was that it didn't oil the road like it did the last time it was out at the track. I did ask him if he wanted a rematch against the Miata...he hasn't replied... :P

I think the thread is on EvoM or RKC where he said he was gonna build his Evo up for full time attack because of that video. If he picked another chassis I don't know, but he was braggign about 600whp and 2400lbs w/driver for our rematch...as soon as he got it done...then it popped the motor on the shakedown at MSR-C and oiled the track...then did it again on the dyno after "fixing" it.

Remember, this is the same blog that makes-fun of people who bring their own helmet to the kart track.
