Keep an eye on Craigslist. That's where I found a hardtop once.
I've got a '99 And I would like to find a factory hardtop. Mainly cause cause hail put two holes in my top a month back and its deteriorating as it is. I also want the rear defroster and the bigger iwindow. I've tried searching outside the forum and not a whole lot of luck. I keep finding aftermarket carbo fiber with Lexon? Glass and no defroster :/ hopefully someone has one or knows where I can get one. Any input would be appreciated.

Effse7en: So I emailed that guy with the black one and it already sold![]()
I'll keep looking though. If anyone on here has one to sell I'm interested.
How much are you wanting to spend on the top? Seriously, keep that much cash at the ready. As you're finding out, they tend to go very quickly when priced appropriately.

...and keep in mind a good top goes for about $900. Be prepared to spend that... you won't get much of a discount unless you find a rough one.

Yea every one that I've been looking for ranges from 800-1200$
Yep. That's the going rate. Very rarely do you see one for less. It's possible but its all about being the first to call and get there. I bought a hard top for $500 once. It was in great shape too. Had to take a day off work and drive out to the TX / LA border to get it but it was worth it.
I talked to a guy recently who bought one at an estate sale for a few hundred bucks. Lucky SOB!
Like we said, have the money on hand and be ready to jump. As it warms up, you may see more on the market. Fall and winter is the worst time to buy a hard top. Spring and summer is much easier as people start enjoying the convertible weather. Avoid any aftermarket hard tops. The quality on them is crap.
Never paid more than $750. Lots of people seem to think they are worth $1200 but I don't know of anyone paying that.
TXMC: Drinkin, shootin, racin!
I will probably have one for sale by Saturday. Red.
