Good to meet all of the new guys. The Flying Saucer is a nice venue for a GTG! Too bad the Bass Club was taking up the patio with their meeting.

Good to meet all the noobs tonight! I'm all aboard for putting the Saucer in the regular rotation. BTW, on Sundays the Saucer has all Texas pints on fire sale - helluva place to grab some lunch and stalk the young talent.

Y'all come out to Keller's next Wednesday if the weather's decent!

(BTW, there was a stray unpaid check at the table, but I took care of it. I gotcha covered this time, but ya owe me some beers next time...)

^I wonder if that check was for my wife. The waitress was supposed to have combined our check but I bet she didn't. She left early, so the waitress probably didn't think to give it to me (she wasn't paying very good attention anyway...). If it was for a sandwich and a drink I'm sure it was hers, and if so I'll be happy to compensate you the next time I see you. :)

It was a really great night meeting everyone. Good crowd! I'll have to upload the pic later.

I dont know why, but the atmosphere at thd Flying Saucer seemed so much nicer than Kellers.

Its definitely a nicer place, but you have to sit and TALK to a bunch on Miata-owners with no cars to distract you from them!

You mean it doesn't smell like cheap beer and recycled cheap beer?

And the waitresses are really cute (they dont look like they just got released from a half way house). :)

edit: of course I am writing this while standing in line at Freebirds where everyone that works here just got out of drug rehab!)

How's the food? Last time I went to the Saucer years ago, the menu was pretty lacking.

+1 on Freebirds; you're spot on. One can't judge a book by the cover, but it's hard not to when the cover has graffiti, metal protrusions, and holes everywhere.

Sorry I missed this one. Hopefully y'all will do more events at the Saucer.

Yeah, the saucer will be a regular. Maybe mix it up with Dodie's at the harbor.

And FYI, there's a new Freebirds in Rockwall (4 miles from the Saucer) and there are no customers that look like crack-heads. We simply don't allow that shit out here in Rockwall-ish-ness.

Sorry for the garbage pic; I only had my cell phone and the headlights from the wife's Volvo:

The check Rick paid for was 26 bucks without tip. That's more than a sandwich and a beer.

It wasn't mine was it? When the checks came mine only had one beer on it. I asked our waitress and she said I had already paid for my other 2 beers and food. Damn short term memory!
