I got started late and pulled an all-nighter.

I've done dash swaps before and generally it isn't a big deal. It's involved but not rocket science.

Well this one sort of kicked my butt. Of course, when it's my car, I can take my time since no one is paying me by the hour. Everything went smooth until I had both dashes out and started swapping harnesses. I needed to wire up a custom harness extension for the 90-93 dash lights as the 96 has the overhead light. I try you use OEM connectors when possible and keep everything plug and play in case I ever need to take things out. Of course I solder and heat shrink everything, loom it with silicone tape and also wired up a NB cruise/fog light combo switch. I realized one of those little ground wires in the outside corners was cut and the screw was stripped. One more thing to fix.

Finally got it all swapped over and low-and-behold the hardwire for my V1 wasn't a good switched power. Easy fix. The killer one was the damn horn didn't work. I traced the wires and determined a break in the green/orange wire between the airbag connector under the steering column and the relay on the left side of the engine bay. The screwy thing is I didn't touch that wire and it worked before! It remained in the car. Several hours of troubleshooting and running a new wire and all is working, except the damn Moss foot well lights. I'l save that for another day.
