This really isn't a introduction but more of a re-introduction since i was a member(FilthyMonkeyRacing) but decided to abandon ship for personal reasons that i guess are resolvedAnyways the name is Chad and i currently have a 2000 Miata LS that have already put to much money into and in true Chad fashion already have up for sale and looking for a NA but if i cant get what i want then i will continue ahead. Instead of repeating myself and to spare my fingers i will just give you a link to my miata.net build thread.

I REALLY love these cars..out of the 17 cars i have had this is my favorite. I know that many say this but driving it really is therapeutic in fact i didnt like the idea of a convertible and if they had a fixed roof miata probably would have gotten one but i sure am glad that wasn't an option because unless its raining or below 45 degrees my top is down.
I hope to be a positive contributer to this forum although have much to learn still about these cars and thank everyone in advance for their patience and support.
Thanks
Chad

Haha, I was in my miata the other day with the top down and it started to rain on me. It is true. If you go fast enough the rain will not get in. People thought i was crazy with the looks i was getting. LoL
Welcome back? :-p

Sprinkling i have delt with but torrential rain doesn't do to much for the interior and as far as the temperature is concerned the cold doesn't bother me but i have read that you shouldn't put a vinyl top down below 45 degrees since it "shrinks" and will cause undue stressHey im not an expert just going by some the "FAQ" i have read.

I was reading a guys blog who drove his miata from coast to coast and even up to ALASKAand he was saying he found out that as long as you go 60+mph you dont get wet..so going fast in the rain=::rain::
