It was van Gogh's birthday, born 1853. He sold only 1 painting during his lifetime. He was a bit looney and killed himself at the age of 43.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...'Wow! What a ride!'

Yea I figured it was his birthday.

Yea he was a bit troubled, apparently before he killed himself he cut off his ear because he felt God wasnt talking to him. Thats when his best work came out, in his blue period, because he was depressed.

Sounds like Shelley is spending to much time horsing around and not enough time horsing around.

Funny...I was just thinking about that.

Leonardo da Vinci, born April 15, 1452, died May 2, 1519 of natural causes. He was illegitimate. He dabbled in architecture, sculpture, engineering, geology, hydraulics and the military arts, all with success, and in his spare time doodled parachutes and flying machines that resembled inventions of the 19th and 20th centuries. He made detailed drawings of human anatomy which are still highly regarded today. Leonardo also was quirky enough to write notebook entries in mirror (backwards) script, a trick which kept many of his observations from being widely known until decades after his death.

And, yes, I did have to ask onething for the above information
