Default help to install autoexe stb

hi, i try to install my 3pt autoexe, but it is a pain in the ass to fit. i spend the whole afternoon trying to make it fit, but it does not work. maybe i am just too dumb to firgure it out lol. the stb sits flush with firewall, and nothing is in between getting in the way. however, the 4 bolts near by the shocks are not clear with my stb. they are way off. how do you install your stb? thanks

At first glance it looks like that STB isn't made for your car.

Can you get a picture of the entire setup??

Car doesn't have the possibility of being bent does it?

I bough it from the guy who parted out his nb on mazdaroadster, so i guess it should fit without any issue. it took me a lot of time with a lot of yelling, slamming the door, kicking the dog...... it still does not fit. lol

If that came off an NB (which I doubt) it's really tweaked. Looking at the picture above the angle difference between left and right is huge.

Doesn't Carbing make these for autoexe?

If so they list 2 different part numbers depending on the vintage of the NB.

The angle difference is normal for that type of bar. Mainly due to it being for Jdm cars that are opposite in regards to steering and abs.

Yuck. I hope that bar is worth the bling factor, because it sure isn't going to help with handling. YoJDMFTW!

Yeah, 3pt stb will not help with handling, but a lot peole claim that it will help with NVH. That is the only reason i bought it
the angle is different because i tried to push the bolts into the holes of the brace, but only 1 bolt went in

Someone wallered out the holes trying to make it fit. Looks like the wrong part.

If you take it to Kellers tomorrow night there may be one there, but you never know.

Doesnt look like the Carbing I installed on a '99 a few days ago. It looks like a copy, but the section that mounts to the firewall is different.

Since you bought it from a parted-out car, I'm guessing the car might have been wrecked, causing the bar to be bent. How good of a deal did you get? Maybe the seller couldn't make it fit either. I'd ask him to take it back if I were you, then pick up an OEM NB fstb.
