Thanks for the clarification. I would appreciate a confirming update after you are sure everyone on your team (e.g., Desi) is on the same page with the posted info.

So a person whose car passes the requirements in post #28 on page two earlier in this thread:

First shows up at Registration at the event Hotel between 7:30 am and 9am on Friday to get credentials that will allow running on Harris Hill. (I didn’t see any mention of Registration at the track for those wishing to get orientation on Friday so they can run on Saturday)

Second, shows up at the track at 2:00 Friday afternoon for orientation (and I guess eyeballing of the car to be sure it is safe).

Third, gets an hour of open track on Saturday morning 9:00 to 10, and another hour at 3:00 to 4. These sessions will have drivers who are entrants in the Roundup, and Roundup staff, and Harris Hill members as well.

    Is that correct ?
Friday afternoon there will be a orientation before you get on the track, You will b able to run all open track times, that also includes Roundup staff who are experienced and Harris Hill staff. We have many club members who don't track there car. We also have members who live to race.

All though I am putting all this together I don't personally track my car much, even though it is supercharged and pushing 210hp to the wheels.
I just enjoy my Miata and it is not a daily driver just a toy.

I have one more request for those that have already reigistered, please fill out the information form one more time on the registration page and for club put DFWMiata so that we will know.

And Desi is now on board for open track time.

so can a person show up at Harris Hill Friday afternoon (before 2:00) and take part in the orientation?

or do you have to go to the event hotel on Friday morning between 7:30 and 9 am as listed on the Roundup website schedule ?

If you can make it to the hotel between 11am and 12pm we can register you others at that time. We will not hold to strict registration time lines we will be flexible. Registration will be held in a conference room and I will be around in the morning till 1pm. I have a run that I have to lead that leaves at that time.

Tonight at midnight the price to attend goes up and the extra goodies will not be available.

I know that you all hate lead follows, but for those that come we may arrange a lead follow where the track best time holder will lead. very hot laps and bragging rights.

sorry to be dense, but does your most recent comment mean that there will not be two one hour "open" track sessions for those who take part in the Friday afternoon orientation ?

or do you mean that in addition to the two open sessions, a person can choose to also do the lead-follow sessions ?

Schedule is listed and yes we will have some lead follows that will be very fast that you are more than welcome to join in on.

    Everything stands as stated before.

The last confusing statement was meant to be challenge for the those that may be able to keep up with with the track best time record holder.

Look on line at the roundup site, the schedule is posted and I do believe there is more open track time than 2 sessions.

You assume that a group of X number of cars will follow the fastest without a need for passing each other. And unless Jamie is leading in his Miata, you are assuming the fastest Miata down there can stay ahead.

Your right it's assumption that they can stay ahead of the group, Still it's all about having fun isn't it

This is the schedule and it seems like a decent amount of track time for the price. This doesn't include a bit of time on Friday as well.

We're here at H2R and the owner and staff are chatting us up. Very nice guys. We also have free reign of the track right now. As soon as we figure it out, they're gonna flip it on us. Good times! Y'all are missing out. Unlimited track time. Booya!
