I would love to do this but I am already committed to the Texas Miata Roundup which is that weekend. Bummer!![]()
If you have a Miata that looks like a racecar and would like to come to the Pythian Home in Weatherford to take some deserving kids for a ride, call me at 219-208-0500. The event is Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m. on the grounds of the Pythian Home in Weatherford, Texas. This will be a VERY big deal for these kids. It will involve some non-autocross type driving, but not quite parking lot driving either. Thanks!

this really sounds fun! I like the idea of "planting seeds" in young minds... if this gives them hope and dreams to aspire to, I'm tempted... anybody else?
hey Doc. what are you bringing(car wise)?

I have a '92 Miata set up for the track with a custom engine and some slick graphics all over & big wheels & racing tires the kids will like. It has racing seats, a roll bar, hood louvers & tons of other mods. Best of all for the kiddies, it is LOUD! Here is a video of the car on a track last year before we added a lot more graphics and the new engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVhZNJsl21U
