I am going today to get it. It will be available to members for $40/week to help recoop some of the costs (or free if you help pull my engine...) Does this seem reasonable?

    Chris,

I guess you didn't catch that I have one if you want to borrow it. Sorry I don't read the forum that often.

It will be just as easy for me to bring it over in the truck. Why don't I bring it over Friday evening after work. I can also give you some tips on pulling the engine out so you want waste your day. Call me later and we can work out a time.

As for the engine stand, you don't really need one. You can support the engine on the floor with a 4 x 4 block at the front of the oil pan. Don't disassemble the engine completely. Remove the head if you like after you get the engine out, but I suggest you don't open the bottom end, wait until John can open it up himself and keep all the parts in order. I will bring you a plastic bucket to put the engine in. This will help you in carrying the engine over to the builder and keep all the parts together.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Sorry I can not help pull the engine, but I reserved this weekend to install our prototype TDR air to air intercooler on Todd's car. Todd will soon become the poster child for the M45 1.6.

    Thanks Todd in advance.
