RX8 Engine Swaps

I was watching an old episode of TopGear last night where Jeremy was reviewing the RX8. It got me to thinking, we've seen the RX7 with V8 swaps. The RX8 rotary isn't known for it's reliability. So with all the V8 swaps, what would an RX8 with a LS conversion or even swapping in a NC 2.0? Since the NC and RX8 are a shared platform, I would think swaps would be popular and relatively easy. Finding a RX8 with a blown motor should be easy. The only caveat I see is hood clearance.

I thought MER out at Cresson did these? Or are they only doing RX-7s?

There's a swap kit being finished up now that uses the camaro LFX V6.

I've seen one, but never driven one. I always thought the RX-8 made the perfect donor chassis for an LSx powertrain. The tough part will be the electrical side, since the RX-8 is a canbus car where almost everything runs through the ECU.
