    Default Engine swap idea

So I have my Miata. I have the roll bar, reupholstered seats, and I need to find new carpet. I'm going to get CF cloth, epoxy and make my own door panels and some interior trip pieces. Eventually I wanted to do a good old Ford 5.0 pushrod engine swap.

But now I'm reading about the new Mustang (I've owned 8 or 9 Mustangs) and the 2.3L Ecoboost engine is going to make 305 hp and 300 ft-lb of torque....... oh sweet. I'm considering it now. I need to know the overall dimensions of that engine particularly bottom of the pan to the top of the intake manifold..... anyone know the engines dimensions?

It is a cool engine and all. But considering it will be fairly new I'm sure it will cost quite a bit for only 300hp. Also since it is so new it will have very little aftermarket support.

I'm willing to bet you are looking at spending 5-8K+ for one before you even talk about a ecu and transmission. For that sort of money you could build a pretty decent LSX motor and be making 450hp+ easily.

Isn't that engine like 8 feet wide though?
