    Default Valentine V1 for sale

Selling my V1 for $300, all pictured accessories included.

    Serial Number 1285880993

V1 Description: Radar circuitry known in-house as V1.8.A-integrated--POP2 withEuro Mode
Comment: This is our latest and best performer on both radar and laser.

Upgrade Recommendation: You already have our best performer, enhanced by crystal-controlled frequency tuning. More recent V1s, however, have two additional features. Traffic Monitor Filter eliminates the K-band false alarms caused by a traffic flow-measuring system being installed along some U. S. highways; SpeedInfo sends frequent K-band radar bursts into the traffic stream (www.speedinfo.com to learn more). If you drive in an area with one of these systems, this upgrade will pay off immediately. Extended Serial Protocol (ESP) enhances two-way communication with SAVVY and future peripheral devices.

Neither, I bought a new V1 / V1C bluetooh adapter, and am running YAV1 on my phone. It's a nice upgrade.

No..the words of someone who's very familiar with the rabid obsession some have over their choice of detectors. I don't speed so no dog in the hunt.

Some folks do get 'passionate' about their detector choices, that's for sure. Me, I'm happy with the arrows.

As a data point, I can say that every person I know who has the means to own any detector they like has chosen to own a V1. Maybe its just great marketing, but to me its tells me all I need to know.

If keeping up with the Jones is your goal why a Miata instead of a Cayman? (rhetorical question)

This is a good deal on a very nice detector.. Sorry for the distraction.

Its not keeping up, it's asking yourself why people who can buy any detector buy this one. And I'd aim higher than a Cayman if status was the goal. :)

And my answer would be they like the feature set whether that be arrows or some other piece. ..or they believe like you... For the 9500si in the wife's Cayman S I wanted an installed solution b/c my wife refused to put it away when parked so I solved that problem. And I like driving her Cayman better than I liked my Turbo, so the higher status is not always the better choice for a person. :)

That said, if I was in need I would jump on this V1. :) (free bump...again....)

Agreed. But by status, I meant I'd want a car that is actually fast around the track, not just expensive. Clearly we weren't talking about the same type of status. Have fun with whatever you end up with. The P cars never could keep pace with my NC, but I can't keep pace with Miatamoto's NB, so...

..I'm slow no matter what I drive...

But on track...there's no need for radar detector...how are we helping this sale? Oh ya...free bumps.

'preciate the bumps, but it's already sold, and picked up by a nice fellow in a spray-bombed E36 M3.
