Default My A/C at home died last night, need a part

Many of you may have noticed I was posting much much earlier in the morning than usual. That would be because my A/C quit yesterday, and I can't sleep in a hot house, so I finally quit trying to this morning at 6am. It's been a long time since I got up at 6am and didn't have an AutoX to go to.

The TCB TD is going to replace his condensor fan motor today, or tomorrow, he is in need of:

1/6 hp, 1100 rpm, 3/8" single shaft, 220v, weather sealed Condensor fan motor, and a corresponding capasitor. I'd prefer a counter clockwise rotation (looking at the shaft), but multi-directional will work as well.

    Thanks.

You try Grainger? Search Condenser Fan, they have locations around town!

They'll have it! That's where I got mine from about 5 years ago

It really SUCKS that AC companies will not sell ANY parts... almost NO ONE will sell you AC parts. Talk about a racket!

Tell me about it. Grainger had one for about $90.00. However, in my quest for a CB deal I found the same motor (GE) at Standard Supply for $76.00, out the door with the capacitor and tax  I then installed it tonight after work. I also discovered I was low on freon after I replaced the fan, so I ended up doing a complete checkup on the system. I've got guages, and freon so, NO PROB. I wonder if my elect. bill will reflect the much more efficiant cooling capacity
