IME....as soon as you down the rooted route, you might as well have followed Alice into the rabbit hole. I would have looked to the "root" of the wifi issue rather than jack the OS. yrmv.
I've got an AT&T Galaxy S4 that has been updated to the lates OTA update of 4.4.2. I've been having wifi issues on it and I'm trying to install a custom rom on it to see if that will hep with my issues. Between all the different S4 versions and all the different android versions etc. I'm having an impossible time figure out how to get a custom recovery working so that I can flash a new rom. I have the phone rooted, but can't get ClockworkMod to boot into recovery. Everytime I try, it goes into the stock recovery instead.
Is it even possible to install a custom rom on the latest AT&T S4 update?

I searched and searched for an answer to my wifi problem. I found no answers and only posts by many others with similar issues.
