Ended up with a 2005 MPV. Started early, ended late, and only saw three vehicles due to folks not being on time.
My wife's '98 Cherokee has low compression (maybe 100psi, if that,) and rust on the insulator on the #3 plug. Not surprisingly, it runs annoyingly rough and throws codes. As it is over a quarter million miles and due for inspection, we have decided to replace it, spending less than $4,000, not financed. The short list includes Mazda6 wagons, MPVs, and Grand Cherokees with a 4.0L engine, and looking early to mid 2000's year wise. Any advice about those cars before we head off to find a replacement? Are there any model-specific items of which I need to be aware?
Thanks,
Mike

I'd highly recommend an MPV, best vehicle ever made!
