    Default 15" street tires needed

Did some tire/wheel swapping today (thanks Baker!), and discovered one of my street tires had a bubble on the sidewall.

Never really loved the Kumho Ecsta AST's, so I'm shopping for replacements. Don't need to be super sticky, but able to handle spirited driving.

    Please discuss.

Get the Federals that DaveW has been testing. Super cheap, super fun. Good enough for all but sub freezing. The Hankook V12 is also a favorite year rounder for me that us still track day worthy.

I loved the BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sports when I had them. Unfortunately for me, I had to have tires right that moment when the time came for new ones, and the G-Force Super Sports aren't usually stocked locally in the size I needed.

I have 2 BFG 225 rivals in the garage collecting dust. They're about 60% tread if I remember.

Probably more sticky than you needed but I was planning on listing them for sale on here anyway.

The Federals at 140TW might be too soft for street duty. The V12's smallest diameter is 16" unfortunately.

Those are a bit more than I was wanting to spend for street tires. I do have dedicated AX/track tires.

Thanks Jigger...they probably are too sticky and I need a set of 4.

I've always found the Yokohama S-drives to be a great tire, though I've heard some people find them a little noisy. On a Miata, seems like I've never noticed that.

I was impressed with the S-drives when I did the Yokohama Ride and Drive. I have not owned any yet, but I will.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I went with the Nitto Neogens as a decent all around tire. So far so good.

Thanks for all the replies guys....I'm going to give a set of these a shot. Since I'm DD'ing the Miata these days, I wanted something better suited for that role.

it's a little tough right now, we tried to get 15" for our lemons car.. no RS-3's and we got the last pair of rivals from tire rack.

I did put these on the volvo and though not a spirited car, they are quiet and hold their own..

^I looked at those too....sadly, they don't come in 15". A lot of the models I looked at smallest size were 16", or even 17".

When will you get them installed? I might swing by Baker's to watch.

Just bought the BFG Super Sport A/S. I've like them so far. Quiet, good wet and dry handling and were reasonably priced. $365 shipped to me and $40 to mount and balance them.
    ...and across the line.
