Are there any exceptions to the no passenger rule at National Events?

Only exception I've ever seen is when Howard Duncan (or another SCCA employee who was not competing gave a ride to some VIP

My first Pro and I'm hooked. You two guys, and many others, bust your asses to put this on. Thanks for all the hard work!
    Good times!

It was an excellent Pro. High fun factor course, really nice that Texas Region was allowed to show-off the Texas-sized potential of MW. I hardly heard a peep from anyone about the surface, but plenty of positive comments about the size and speed of the courses, especially "for a Pro." Glad the extra effort that was put in to clear a path through the weeds was appreciated.
The shade tent, as usual, was essential to keeping everyone reasonably comfortable, and there was plenty of water at all times, everywhere I looked. I think Lorin Stoltz was instrumental in that regard.

Texas Region was well-represented in the Trophies and in the Challenges. I hope the ER event helped in preparing folks for the unique aspects of a Pro.
Other than a moderately-overheated Corvette and some extra brake fluid provided by our own Michael Parker (ok, his dad), there were very few hiccups.
I had fun, and appreciate all the people who don't often get named, but who work hard to make it all work.

Thanks Brad and Jen and the TX region for bringing this event together. Nothing but positive feedback from our out of town visitors, great food, hospitality, and organization. The cutting of the fresh trail through the grass was worth it!

Seen a lot of tools employed in site but this the first mass deployment of pick axes in my memory...

Big props to the region going nuts on the vegetation. It was neat going through there...and now that there's plenty of space in there, it opens up more course design potential....as if there isn't enough room....but whatever.

Had a great battle with Trevor Jones in his FoST. Last year at nats he beat me by something over 2 seconds and I was only .193 behind him this weekend. If only I could have taken my .500 light from practice starts and applied it to one of my fast runs I would have got him. I need to learn to launch better...

Kudos to ER & NTAX for the loan of their blowers and Paul Kutz for hustling the ER stuff. The ground crew greatly appreciated it.

Fun event, tired Saturday, better Sunday.
Had fun in the Bonus Challenge, but just couldn't close the deal in the final round. I think it was close though.
