    Default Umm hullo

Been lurking, finally registered. Figured Id introduce myself appropriately. I am the very proud owner of a 2001 LS with Bilstein package and 6sp bought new in 01 while I lived in Austin. Car is stock (except been to body shop twice for being rear ended and backed over). I am looking to either mod or keep stock and purchase a 2005 MSM.

If you have read any of my posts from miata.net you know I am very opinionated. Looks like the same with most guys here. I like that people on this forum dont take themselves too seriously and help each other out (never seen more people respond so quickly when a forum member found themselves out of work.... awesome). Seems like most of you have more garage time than me, but thats just because mine has only needed basic stuff outside of bodyshops

Hopefully I will get to meet some of you guys as I get the nerve to come to the autox's like pennington this weekend or help someone out doing repairs.

I live in Mansfield (read South of Oklahoma for you Plano guys ), so getting to some of you is a trip through dangerous lands of idiot drivers and bad roads. But nonetheless I am hoping to get more involved. If I do make it of course, round of beers on me!!

This site is full of great info on local events and great places to get things taken care of (TCB style of course) and seemingly great people. Thanks for the resource.

BTW thanks for the nudge to post Titus

Welcome! Come out to Pennington on Sunday and meet some of us! I work in Mansfield, maybe I'll recognize your car .

My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

    Welcome to the forum, wrxmr2eater!

Come on out and meet the gang on Sunday at Pennington, although if you're just planning to spectate and actually want to watch some racing (instead of watching us walk the course and attend the driver's meeting ), I'd suggest showing up after about 11am.

Bring a helmet, if you've got one, and I'm sure we can find you a few rides as a passenger.

Yep, come on out. ER puts on a great event, and a couple of these guys happen to be on the Equipe Rapide bod. If I were going to be there though, I would be driving a Civic, but since I'm working at TMS, and driving ZO 6's on the road course, I won't miss it too much...except for the guys and gals...
    BTW, welcome aboard!

Hey whats up. What color is your car? I'm currently zooming around in a black/tan '97 with dual exhaust. I work not far from Mark52. I used to drive a silver/black '90 model till a couple of months ago. I don't always wave to other miata's though, unless I recognise you...It seems to be less cool these days. When I do wave, I usually get a funny look from the recipient, as if they are thinking, "look that guy goofy guy; driving that girly car, waving at me just cause I'm driving one too."??:

Anyway welcome to the board. And your right there are a lot of opinions here, but fear not most are wrong, unless they agree with me

    Welcome to the boards!

I'm another Mansfield resident. I live close to Broad and 360. Where do you live and what color is your car?

BTW, I didn't know TurboDuane lives down here in the sticks too.

I always wave to other Miatas . As far as I know, they do not give me funny looks. Usually, they wave back. Maybe its because I am in San Antonio ???

Yep, I live in Lowes Farm! I've seen you at a few of the events out at mineral wells. I've got a 94 black and tan with stock 14's. I'm the guy with the florida plates, until just recently.
