So I finally got around to taking a few pictures, it's been long enough.

What motor did you use this time? Love the coil bracket!

I thought you were gonna figure out a way to get the temp sensor on using the 1.8 water neck? I decided to use the 1.6 neck/intake tube.

The current motor was out of a 97M w/ 40k miles. I think it has about 45k miles now.

Yea, the coil bracket is temporary, I'm going to move the whole assembly over to where the washer fluid bottle was one of these days.

The Protege t-stat housing has a fitting for the sensor, and everything points in the right way so that I can continue using this intake setup or the stock 1.8 intake setup if I want. The stock 1.8 crossover tube setup puts the filter right at the firewall with the larger Turbo II flowmeter though, so I doubt I will ever go that route. I am lacking one aluminum pipe bend (that a place to be unnamed wants $35 or so for) before I can finish that project up though. I've thought about making that piece all metal pipe w/ just the ends as hose, but I think I might just stick with the one bend and two hose setup.

Some other things. I have to push the fender in 1/4" and bolt it down w/ the tab that is on the frame for the fender to door gap to be correct on the drivers side. It will take bondo to the rear 1/4 driver's side to get it to line up with the door properly. I will also need a trunk lid (this one was decent until a run-in at the Halloween fest at Joe Pool where a guy ran up and beat hard on the trunk lid), and some hood pins so that I can reattach the rubber stoppers and get my hood gap correct.

Cool deal, so all I need is to get a Protege water neck to make it work, right?

I know how it goes witht he body work crap....due to undisclosed reasons involving a parking lot and a 2 ft tall pole, I had to get a new bumper and hood 2 months ago. Was painting the bumper myself, but ran out of paint, doh!

Use the 1.8 water neck, and the protege t-stat housing.
