Welcome aboard and let us know what we can do to help!
Hello all, I signed up a week or so ago and this is my first post. Sounds like you are a good and helpful bunch. A little info, my wife and I operate a B&B in East Texas in a small town called Gladewater (the Antique Capital of East Texas). We operate a bakery/restaurant as well. All my life I have driven Fords and enjoyed modifying my various rides. We just bought an Excursion not too long ago to have a vehicle to haul our kids and grandkids when we take a trip together, as well something to use as a catering vehicle. Subsequently, we sold our pick-up and will be putting our Explorer on the market as well. After much thinking re: a second economic vehicle, I arrived at a Miata given it's cost to fun ratio. After looking at several both locally and on ebay, I chose one on ebay. I pick it up on June 7th in Lubbock. I created a page on "cardomain" at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/842171. Take a look and let me know what you think. We would encourage any of you or perhaps a group of you to come down to Gladewater for a little trip. There is a great deal of antique shopping to be done and there are great little roads all around for fun driving excursions, a couple of golf courses close at hand-all in all, plenty of diversions to keep you busy for a weekend.
Looking forward to being a fellow Miata owner/driver
Bill

Welcome Bill! Glad you found us. We may need to take a road trip out to Gladewater soon!

Sounds like fun. Welcome 90whitey!

My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
Thanks for the quick responses, it indicates a strong level of interest in the members here. If anyone is interested, here is link to our B&B: http://honeycombsuites.com. It's a fun business and we get to meet a lot of interesting people, but it can be a lot of work. Speaking of which, it's time to close the restaurant up for the day, so I'll check you later.

From one newbie to another, you'll love it!
Gladewater ! Hwy 80 at 271 outside of Longview! Beautiful country and wonderful roads. I lived in Tyler about 10 years ago and went through there periodically.
We'll have to come out for a look around!
Great looking Miata, you'll find it a wonderful ride!
Road trip!!
Welcome to the board, 90whitey!![]()

Welcome aboard...My spouse loves to look at antiques...after all, she married me. (of course, that was before I became an antique) She's also fond of B&B's...I would be all for a trip in that direction with a group sometime...![]()
