    It says Seattle texas, but there is no seattle texas according to yahoo maps. The number is a 214 number so is 214 529 a number prefix you all recognize? I tried to call but no answer

    If you Google the number, a bunch of other 214 529 xxxx numbers come up... so it should be a local number.

    My girlfriend thinks was confused when he typed seattle (washington), but i dont get why it is a 214 #

    Maybe the seller used to live in Seattle and got confused...check for salt water damage.

    Hmmm...thats my zipcode also, & judging by that fence, I may or may not know where those apartments are. If I get some time in the next few days I might drive by for a look, if I can find it.

    If you find it and drive it, offer him a 1k or so... use the salvage title against his asking price.

    that is what i planned on doing, i was gonna use the salvage title and see how cheap it could get. (hail wont affect how it drives right?) thanks for all the help

    yes by email, he says 2800 is as low as he'll go, but I didnt bring up the salvage title part yet either. I would like to see it in person first.

    I call ... you'll never get full value if you decide to sell later... and the same goes for him. A salvage title screws the hell out of the history of the car.

    well whenever i get a chance to talk to him again ill bring up the salvage title. i would like to go see it, but im working 2 jobs so its tough to get a day off.

    Depends on the value of the car and the insurance company's policy. Usually if the repairs total 80% or more of the car's value, it's totaled.
