Ask monkey which is faster around an autox track. My old 97 was 10-15% faster around the course that his F body stang with all of the HP hop-ups short of a supercharger, about 375 hp irrc.

To make a Miata faster for 1/4 miles FI is the way to go. For racing add some tires, sway bars and good shocks/struts and the Miata is hard to beat. Just look at the results from any autox and you'll see miata's near the front. Unless I'm driving
