I like Mustangs. My wife has one. We're wanting to sell it though to get something more family friendly. 2001 V6 Auto...

Miatas are way more fun though IMHO.

Welcome aboard, another Mustang fan here, wearing a fresh SVT Cobra shirt as I type. Miatas are a blast, easy to maintain, (so far anyway) and the best bang for the buck available. Be sure to wear your thick skin when logging on here, 'cause this bunch will surely test it at times... However, I have found them to be a great group, and willing to help with advice, and physical presence if needed... You can't go wrong buying a MIata either...

Your right, you'll never drive the Stang again......Except when the Miata's down for upgrades ...Wanna race that SloowStang? ... I'm always looking for another notch on the fender

Welcome to the board. You'll find a lot of ex-american muscle car drivers here. Myself, I had a '98 T/A, and would not even think about going back, even if they still made them.

Hey, another ex-Fbody owner! I ditched my 96 Z28 in less than 6 months and bought another Miata!

Welcome Mr. Mustang. Mustangs are cheap to drag race, but you'll love the handling and ride of the Miata...not to mention the gas mileage. ~17mpg road racing for me! That's what the Camaro got city driving!

Never owned an F body, but I co-drove a Street Mod '99 Camaro SS for a season, usually while my twin-turbo RX7 was in the shop.

The Miata is more fun than both of 'em. In fact, about six months after I bought my Miata, the SS owner sold his car and bought a Miata of his own!

Tru Treu, I have had 89 and 90 model's Firebirds with 400ci and 455rocket engines in them and a 96 stang GT, I love the handling of the Miata it makes it feel faster than it is. Dont get me wrong I love the rush of speed the v8's gave but I like the Miata better.
And as above mentioned with gas prices you can't beat the MX-5

Ha, way to go! I got my best friend into Miatas now and he has a Vette and a Viper. Now he races a Miata more than he drives the other cars!

Another "Frisco-ian"... cool! Welcome to MME.

Be sure to come out to an autocross real soon, and give that Miata a proper "shake-down". I understand the HP and torque addiction, but it is usually quickly overcome with a nice dose of nimbleness, agility, and true sports car handling. You can make a Miata go faster pretty easily and reliably, as there are a number of solid aftermarket options to add horsepower and torque. But it's difficult to make a Mustang more nimble and responsive.

Have you actually ever driven a Miata? Mazda didn't design the car using a bin full of "slow parts".
