Thread: Looks like Ash!

I got the new registration sticker for the POS today, I don't like the new sticker at all, it's basically paper with clear tape holding it in place. :ncool: Also note the tape isn't all that clear....

They added some additional information to the sticker. Note the license plate number of the car in the upper right hand corner, as well as the county of residence listed in the lower left hand corner, the even have the last few digit of the VIN on the sticker.

I saw this on a friends car. UGLY. I can barely stand the stickers as they are now. I was going to renew online, but I decided I am going to do it in person so I can complain. (Like the poor lady running the window wants to hear about it)

Damn! The Miata is due too!

Can you trim some of the excess tape first?

I think there should be a way to have only one sticker and not 2 right there anyway

I saw an S2000 that had a new label done like this. He took the adhesive off, and I'm guessing used some light glue to attach just the paper part to the windshield. I guess you could use a large piece of double-sided tape too.

The fugly stickers seem to be only at the "convenience" locations. Tax office still has the nice ones.

I just got my July registration and sure enough it's the F'ugly one. Those things won't last, I almost messed up the paper part, humidity or whatever, didn't want that thing to release evenly. I bet it switches to something else soon, and those of us with the shitty ones will have to wait a year. It also looks VERY easy to replicate.

That is stupid! At least it's not as bad as Hawaii, who has to put them on the freakin bumper!

Texas is the only state I can think of that still uses 2 huge window stickers. Does anyone even know of another state that has stickers as bad as ours, besides Hawaii?

In CA, there was no inspection and the registration sticker went on the rear license plate. This window sticker thing here is strange.

Registration used to go on the plate here. There was a theft issue, so they were moved inside the windshield.
