    I call

It's just this year's "5% over invoice", "$250 over cost", "below dealer cost"

My Grandfather worked for GM, the deal was much better than that back in the day.

Plus, it's not good on the only GM car I'd even consider ... the new Corvette! Big hairy deal...

    2005 Saab 9-2X Linear MSRP: $23,685

GM Employee Discount Price for 2005 SAAB 9-2X
    (Select a different vehicle)

    Selected Style: Linear
GM Employee Discount Price: (approx.) $21,821.00 â€*(Details)
    (after applicable incentives)
What a deal. I belive srivendel bought something similar six months ago without the special "GM Employee Discount Price" for a good three grand less.

Yeah, it's just another BS marketing ploy to stave off the inevitable.

Yep, almost time to buy up all the GM stock you can afford...ala Chrysler 20 plus years ago... Y'all know GM ain't gonna fold, and when they come back, they'll own the market again...except for a couple of foreign makes that is...

So, how much GM stock did you buy after reading OzCop's post? Trying to corner the market aren't you?

    Default Guess it Worked!

In June, GM saw its sales soar 41 percent to their highest monthly total in nearly 19 years thanks to the heavily promoted discount.

The shocker for me was what they were selling...
Almost all of the growth came from light truck sales, which jumped 69.2 percent to 375,092 vehicles. The Colorado, Equinox, Tahoe and Trailblazer models posted some of the largest sales increases.

That's because those cars had a significantly higher discount... The cars most people ere saving a few thousand on... The higher priced trucks and SUVs people were saving many many thousands..

(saving meaning paying less than MSRP, not actually getting a decent price)

The guy next to me at work got a new Extended cap truck for like 8500 off sticker. Paid like 18k all said and told. Most people *seem* happy with their deals..

And now so is GM marketing
