Thread: That Sweet Smell of Coolant

Well, several here have preached to the importance of replacing heater hoses BEFORE they fail, but it appears that some of us (read me) have failed to take the warnings seriously enough.

I had purchased new hoses from the dealer a month or so back, but they still sit in a bag on my work bench where I left them after getting home from the dealer. The tow truck driver found that rather amusing.

    REPLACE YOUR HEATER HOSE NOW!!!!

After reading this post, I'm feeling quite good about the fact I replaced both my heater hoses back in May on the POS, they weren't leaking just figured I needed to do some preventative maintenance!

Hey did you know we just had a tech day in Frisco this last Saturday!

This coming Saturday morning I'll be in Mineral Wells at the S2K autocross.

Yep... Saturday was Father-Daughter day... Didn't you see the 2 year old attached to my hip when I stopped by? I think I need to wait a few more years before I let her start working under the hood.

How could we have missed that fact in his eloquently crafted post?

By the way... HEY GARY.... The new production intercooler pipe fits great! I think it fits better then the prototype. We do need to talk about the intake side pipe... I will bring the car over once I get it to hold coolant.
