I still haven't found a site for it but somebody showed me a video the other day that blew my mind. They were RC unlimited hydroplanes....big deal you say. They weren't even turbine powered, just plain ol nitro. The trick is that the hull was hydrodynamic and also happened to make a decent amount of lift for the very negligible weight. They would zip around the lake a few times like a normal boat then take off straight up. They looked a little akward to fly as they had a very low polar moment around the pitch axis but they were very manuverable and could be landed back in the water or on the land (they had small wheels, but would 'float' on grass). I was amazed.
Then he showed me video of an RC helicopter competition routine. The things those people can do are insane. Can you say, 'inverted autorotation'? I knew you could. Unfortunately, it's pretty easy to tie up several grand in one of those I hear.
