Is it actually possible to fail a texas inspection??

I know people who've passed with bald tires, non-operational brakes, duff windscreen wipers - and headlight aim is clearly not a factor. All they seem to check is the OBDII download. My car would fail an MOT in the UK - the CV joint movement on the rear halfshaft would be a definity fail

D'you think this guy chopped the top off a regular civic to get this beast? And what on earth are those intakes behind the doors for?????

Aint that the truth! My rearview mirror stays in the dimmed position as soon as the sun sets.

As for the OBDII check, that is pretty much all they look for and if you get the computer tuned, like I did on my Z28 you will pass even though the car is totally illegal! I even removed the EGR/AIR and the cats!
