Edge Racing

Has anyone ever ordered from Edge? I have a couple of times, and received good service. However, I know others who have had real problems getting the stuff they ordered. My latest attempt has me somewhat heated. Last Wednesday, I went to their website and ordered a bundled package, wheels and tires. Wheels were the 11 lb, 15x7 Falkken Hanobi, on special for 95 bucks each, and tires were Falken RT 615s, priced at 90.00 each. A damn good deal, especially on the 11 lb. wheels. The website accepted my order and my credit card number, and advised I would receive a confirmation number, and to check the site regarding delivery. I checked the delivery time, three days, so expected the shipment by Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon, since it had not showed, and I had no confirmation number, I called the droid at Edge. His response was that they have been backordered on those wheels for a couple of weeks, and the price had gone back up (retail 145. each) since they had sold out. The damn website said they were "in stock" and the price was 95.00 each! Bottom line, the wheels are now "on special" for 110.00, so the re-order cost me an extra 60 bucks. Tires are still the same price. It will be at least 3 weeks, according to the droid, before the wheels/tires expect to ship. 110 each is still a decent price for a wheel that light, but it just irks me that someone didn't update their website, and the price/availability changed dramatically... So, no new Falkens and wheels for the Divisional...

I've heard nothing but bad things about Edge Racing via my VW boards... nothing but horror stories.

Hell, I'd hold them to their price. Didn't they already charge you for that? I'd make them stick to it... it's not your fault that:

1. Someone didn't update their website; and
2. They already accepted the order with the first stated price and what they're doing is basically bait and switch.

My order came in correct, but it did take a little longer than expected. A friend of mine had problems with their website not being up to date when he was trying to find some 205-50-15 Falken RT-215s. The website said they were in stock but no such luck.

I'd try to make them honor their original price on the wheels. It's definitely their mistake. It wasn't like it was a typo on their website or something.
