Y'know, you really have to ask yourself, what is the value (beyond the comedic aspect) of having reporters standing in the rain and the wind in the middle of hurricanes? Is this how newsroom editors get back at reporters who've screwed up?
On-the-spot reporter: "I'm standing in the path of [insert this week's natural disaster here]!! It's really wet, and it's really windy!! You could see how deep the water is, but it's pitch black and the camera lens is completely drenched anyway!!"
Studio talking head: "Thanks for that report Jim. We'll be back to check on Jim every 10 minutes for the next 24 hours, while he stands in the open, getting soaked for our amusement. This is WB33 News Team, bringing you the latest natural disaster LIVE."
What's the point?![]()
