The general concensus seems the NC is looking toward the wine&cheese crowd vs. the performance crowd. It's really a shame if that's how it ends up.
Brian Goodwin posted an NC track review HERE. I think the guys driving NBs in stock class will be happy to hear "slower than my 99 sport was when stock" and "I fear stock class autocrossers will have a real challenge given the softness of the springs".

Thanks Titus you saved me some $$$$
Figure Brian may be on to something about why Mazda went with a softer setup.
My opinion/guess at this point is that the marketing department told the engineers we had to have 17 inch wheels and dual tip mufflers and the result is the engineers were forced to go soft on the springs to keep an acceptable ride quality with the 17s.
Yep... uglier, heavier, and slower. At least it has four cupholders.Originally Posted by sammm

Give it a chance. I think you'll be surprised. For anyone that has ever done any serious suspension tuning knows, stiff is not always better. The "Streets of Willow Springs" is not a fair comparison, and comparing an 06 GT to a 99 Sport is not apples to apples. Someone with an 06, please PM me, and we'll take it to the Ranch and see what it can really do.......
