Nah he was from the Formula Mazda series, this was a tall lankier guy. It was great to see all the talent that they did bring in though. Very nice to see the guys that are out racing being there and being so approachable.

Merv, I don't think the auto RX-8 gets a Torsen - I'm pretty sure it's just an open diff.

The time the announcer-dude posted that was slower than yours was a timing glitch... They had lots of those yesterday. His time rolled up around the time the next car finished as a 30.1. In the blue car. He ran a 30.1 in an auto shortly thereafter.

i dont remember how many points i got, either 60 or 65. i did alright on the matched time (dont member the pts) and jinba ittai (20 pts). i definatly had the most fun on the performance challenge (30 pts). my first run was a disaster way too much throttle in the corners, my next was a 33.2 then a 32.5, and a 33.1.

I noticed a binder setting on the back table by the water.. it had all of the window stickers for the cars used and they all had the Suspension Package. I didn't confirm that all of the cars were there, but I remember thumbing through 7 or 8 laminated window stickers, and I did specifically look to be sure they all said Suspension Package.

Did anyone else notice that some of the cars seemed to be sitting higher than others? I had heard a lot about the car looking too high, but that didn't seem to apply to many of the cars I saw... The blue one and the silver one did look high, but not the others. Perhaps it was because the light colors gave more of a contrast to the tires, drawing my attention to the gap.

I guess so, it doesnt have my best time. Although I think Jon's time wasnt on his second run. Oh well. They seemed to be having issues with the computers. I dont think they realized how competitive we would be...

Yeah, Jon's best time was on his fourth or fifth run.

The only time they have listed for me was my slowest time - I took three runs on Sunday: 30.7, 31.0, 30.5. That 31-second run was the one that I completely missed the 2nd gear shift on - grind city.

Majik's runs are also missing, and I think tailchaser had better runs than that as well.

Maybe we need to hire ourselves out for timing and scoring next time!

Perhaps they were recording cones after all? I know you took out a few cones at the end of one of your runs.

Mine are missing as well. My first run didn't record a time because I was too close to the car in front of me. My second run (when I ground second gear down to a nub ) was a 31.9. My last one was a 31.0. I don't think I hit any cones, but I guess it's possible.

I don't think so, 'cause the 31.0 run was the one I did the carnage on.

My other two runs were clean. I even remember Stu commenting on them.

Officially, results & pics are posted by Wednesday... We'll see if anything changes. They had lots and lots of problems with AxWare on Sunday.

Don't forget that you ran over a mess of cones after the finish. That part was really good!

They were having many timing issues... at one point JRW and I were riding and timing each on the match time course and hit it close to on time. Our times were transposed the next drivers... IMVivid got my times!! :)
