Is everyone still planning on meeting at the IHop in Irving??
Can I get some clarification please!
Sounds pretty accurate. You will get a barrage of marketing materials, video, spiel, etc., but historically, it's been pretty easy to stomach.Originally Posted by rudedog

Yes, we are meeting at the IHOP in Irving at 8:00am, so that we have plenty of time to carbo-load and then get over to register. Please see the first post in this thread, as I've modified it, and attached a map for those that need it.
For you South Oklahomans like me, if you'd like to caravan from "up north", meet me at the 7-11 at on the northeast corner of Preston (289) and Warren (just north of 121, just south of Hooters) at 7:15am. I need a coffee to get me all the way to Irving, so I'll be leaving from that 7-11 at 7:17am.
All further suggestions for meeting spots should be forwarded to me in a private message -- if I see "confusing posts" about where or when we're meeting, I'll... ah,er,um... "moderate" them.
Confusion ended. See you out there!

Just a reminder to those who may have forgotten, the email you recieved confirming your entry requests that you print it and have it ready to show to speed up check in. I would have never remembered, but mine has been taped to my door for a month or so now.

That isnt that hard, today i saw all kinds of interior trim flying out of the cars, door sills missing or just sitting in them, e-brakes non functional, and center consoles non-functional. I asked and they were all together when they started, so if there is much left on them by the end of tomorrow it would be amazing.Originally Posted by Titus

Its worth going especially then as there will be little to no lines, I waited in line for about an hour today at most of the events. Its just a lot of abuse on the cars. The high performance event and gymkhana was were most of the abuse on the cars takes place. They are running ES100's on the Miatas so dont expect much grip if you run azenis or the hankooks as a street tire (or most any other tire for that matter.)
You get a much better idea of the cars abilities. Much better than most test drives with a salesman next to ya anyway. The posted times to beat or meet arent hard to do as they arent set as hard to reach targets.
It was a decent use of an afternoon for me but I think the first one to leave part of the car on the track was well before any one from MME got in one :o: .
PS the tires shouldnt be bald on all the other test cars either tomorrow. Its amazing to see how fast a tire wears on a 3 or 6 when rides are taken in it for free. Like rental car usage in fast forward.
I'm out for the car show part of the Zoom-Zoom Live event...
Jeep is down and I have to work on it in the morning & right after the event... I'll still be there for the event, but I'll be arriving around my scheduled time.

That was a good time... early day though.
Yup, that was a fun day. I wish I would have gotten there earlier, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I didn't do that great, but only did each event once. Next time I'll get there earlier and run all day. It was great to see you all again, I really need to start getting out again. The weekend just needs one more day.
Definitely a good time! The new MX-5 was a nice car, but I'm not putting the NA up for sale anytime soon. As wrxmr2eater said, the ES100s were crap.

What a great MME turnout!Nice to see everyone again. We enjoyed it!
Trina and I had fun. It was great to meet/see some of you. Sorry we missed the others.
Definitely worth the price of admission.![]()
I liked the new MX-5 but not enough to have a car payment. I noticed Mazda jocked my steeze. The new MX-5 looks like mine from behind.Especially the black ones.
Breakfast was great even though only us Nawth Oklerhomians, Majik (sp?) and his woman are the only ones that showed.![]()
Trina actually ended up with more points than me.She got 50 pts. at the Jinba Attai! Goal was 33 sec and she made it in 33.044 without losing a golf ball! She's smooth!
So she got the GT4 06 MX-5 demo and I got a lamo Bose CD. Also, all they had left were XL shirts. Got my one year scrip to Autoweek though.
