Thread: Friend's Father Loses Mind

    Default Friend's Father Loses Mind

My buddy's dad went into major mid-life crisis mode last month, and bought this truck. I confess it's sort of cool in a truck-y hotrod-y kind of way. Definitely not my style, but I could see doing the Woodward Ave. Dream Cruise as a passenger, Sonic root beer float in the cupholder, life would be good.

The question "Why?" comes to mind.

    Dreamsicle Orange Carbon Fiber interior

You say he's a red-neck? What part of the country?

Ohio. Apparently the color is poorly represented in the pics. My buddy swears it's more "Home Depot Orange" than Dreamsicle.

I think this is a better representation:

Said buddy himself owns a 1990 Cavalier coupe with no A/C, a 2000 Camaro SS, a 1990 Corvette ZR-1, and a Harley Sportster. I think he qualifies as a redneck.

He recently sold his 1972 Olds Convertible. It had a little Bondo on it. Sold it to a guy for $2,000 in $20 bills.

    Looked like this, only uglier:

Lose the Cavalier, and that's the start of a pretty cool collection. I'd hardly call a ZR-1 a redneck ride.

Didn't I see that truck in the movie Kill Bill volume 2? The truck was called Wagon, wasn't it?

For $2k, that Olds convertible would have been a nice project car...
