Before y'all get too disheartened... IIRC from the score sheets MR2 guy DID kick some butt with a .4 margin over 2nd, but from 2nd through 10th, there was .1 between each spot. Looks like competition is heating up in the street tire class.

I'm still bummed that I chickened out on the left-hander after the slalom on all 4 runs... Finishing higher than 5th would have felt pretty good.

Congrats again to altiain on pulling out the win in C Stock!

Agreed, you guys put on a nice battle yesterday.

Nice job to you as well Mark, looked good in an "infamiliar" car.

And Lauren, next time, just floor it and close your eyes

Thanks guys. We had a tight battle in C Stock yesterday, as usual. Kestrel had the fastest scratch time and was called with a clean run, but a couple of spectators saw a cone on that run, and the audit sheets agreed. He still managed 2nd place finish. Majik took third in my car (a car he'd never driven before yesterday) a mere two tenths behind Kestrel and less than half a second out of the lead - quite impressive for his first showing in a C Stock car. Hope to have him join the class next season.

John B. pulled a few thousandths ahead of lugnutjon for 4th place, and poor ol' POS was once again reminded why the rest of us run V710s instead of Hoosiers. Still, he made a valiant effort and had some good runs. Don't count this kid out - once he gets some good tires next season he's going to be a threat.

How do you think I made it through the finish lights on my first run? My off-season upgrade plan includes a set of big brass ones...

When did I say I was selling my car??? I never said there was anything wrong with the car.

My only real excuse was bad driving and maybe too much tire pressure. Still can't figure out the new tires

The MR2 is being sold before next year. He needs a 4 door daily driver and since he has an Elise, the MR2 has to be sacrificed

And five in the top fifteen, including the top four spots in C Stock!

Hey majik - do you realize that if this had been an ER event, you would have been in the money?

BTW, my hat's off to Dave Hedderick and Mark Berry - it was a treat to watch both of them drive yesterday.

He already has a couple of times - he took it to the MW Divisional and Nationals this year, running in SS on Hoosiers.

Yup. It's Greg Stirneman - heck of a nice guy. He took the Elise to Nationals this year, and it was like the 2nd or 3rd time he'd ever autocrossed with it. It was definitely his first time on R compound tires. I can't wait to see that car as a regular.

Hats off to you guys this event - good show all the way around.

Hedderick beat up on us pretty bad in ES. My best run was 0.4 off even if I didn't hit those suicidal cones.... As it goes in the record books he was a full second ahead of me.

Yeah, on the way back from the ER double header, onething was trying to talk me into buying the mr2. Guess he doesnt like losing in his own car.

Maybe he just wants you to get your own AX car.

I'm learning from the masters. BTW I am most likely selling the focus this winter and purchasing an NB (99 or 2000 base model, in black hopefully). I just want to openly thank onething all he has done for me this season. The world needs more people like him. Thanks for everything Hal. In fact, thanks to all you guys.

I'm learning too. It thrills me to think I'm within range of catching more experienced drivers, blackzx3_13, onething, once I put them Azenis on.

Never thought it would happen in my first year.

    Experienced? Me? I'm flattered. I've only auto-xed a miata like 9 times.
