All I see is scrap metal. Can you imagine the noise it made when it blew

Damn! That was pretty bad. I my friend had a pretty good one but not as good as that! Have to see if he can dig up the pics. I was behind him when he shifted his Z06 Vette into 2nd instead of 4th! I drove through a good 2 seconds of what I thought was tyre smoke from a blowout. Turns out that was aluminum dust that I drove through! He had metal powder and chunks in the tail pipe! The valves punched holes through every piston so that only the outer lip of the pistons were left!

That's what happens with that kind of boost and nitrous. I'm amazed that it stayed together as long as it did. I can't imagine the cylinder pressure when he hit the nitrous....................

one of the guy on a saturn forum that i post on blew his engine in spectacular fashion. he had it bored out, put a set of ROSS forged pistons in it. he built the engine for nitrous, somthing rediculous 100+ shot or somthing. to make a long story short, they didnt bore th engine enough, pistons siezed in the bore when the nitrous hit and the metal expanded. it blew the crank through the oil pan. all main bearings wear ripped straight out.

il going to try and find those pics.

found them! this wasnt the one where the crank went through the oil pan, musta gotten that confused with another horror story. it did throw all 4 rods though.
