Thread: Board Sponsership?

    Default Board Sponsership?

Since most of us are CBs or at the very least like to save a few bucks here and there, what do you all think about getting some sponsership?

An example would be a link to Town North Mazda on the website for a discount to MME members. They currently have a deal with Track Dog Racing for discounts. We could also get some other folks like maybe a Paintless Dent Repair guy, Car Detailer, Car Stereo place, Tire Shop or whatever.

    Thoughts?
    ...and across the line.

We already have a few 'approved vendors' on board. Since TC owns this site, it's really his call. I do know we have warned un-approved vendors when they come calling.

Car dealers as sponsors tend to suck, you get hooked up with one and the rest ignore ya, plus the dealership you hook up with wants a ROI for their contributions. At least that was my experience when I was the VP of a Corvette club, they put me in charge of dealer relations.........

In general, I'd like to steer clear of sponsorship... Think "Consumer Reports"...

Various under-table sponsorships and the google ads are slowly ensuring that the "optional" component of subscribing to the site will be solidly optional for at least the next 4 years without eating in to my pocket change.

I'm always open to ideas, so long as they're presented by someone with the required interest and follow through to make them work.

In any case, we'd like to steer clear of car dealerships until we find a general manager who is interested in participating in our community.
