Default Data logging from ER #4

Kestrel borrowed my data logger for a couple runs during the last event. On both runs, coolant temp peaked at 210.3 about 10 seconds after he applied the brakes after the lights and dropped to 200.0 by the time he parked the car.

If coolant is coming out, then I would think there's an issue with the pressure cap. Although, with a '99, if it's on the original coolant, the boiling temp may have dropped enough to cause problems as well.

    Any expert opinions?

Thanks for letting me borrow that little do-dad... pretty cool.

I bought a new cap at AutoZone last night, and I'll install it this evening. Hopefully that will solve the problem in the short term. I know I need to replace the coolant (it hasn't ever been changed), but the new cap should help.

For reference, btw, my temps were peaking at 213.

Anyone know where the engine temp sender that goes to the OBD system is located?

It's on the back of the engine...

There are pics of it on the pointy board.
