I sure am. The mirros-cross got me hooked. That was one of the best times I've ever had autocrossing.

EDIT: Doug, what size are you going with? The 225/50's or the 205/50's? I would honestly recommend the 205's just for the gearing advantage.

205/50-15's. The OEM wheels are 15x5.5. I don't think 225's would work on that narrow a wheel.

Hey ratt_finkel, got a link or location for the hotel you're staying at? I need to book a room, but the scca hotel/lodging link doesn't provide any useful info.

My son Paul is going to take a few days of vacation and co-drive with me. We are both registered, making 6 in GS.

We are staying here, http://www.airnav.com/reserve/hotel?...R,US&near=KARG, AirNav says it is 7.9 miles north of the airport (KARG is Walnut Ridge Regional) on US 67.

Good luck to you guys. Robert O will be there. Check the back of the book in GS. You will see his name several times.

Iian, you'll have to try expedia or yahoo yp or something similar to find the hotles. There's a dicsussion on scca forums if you need more info.

I guess if you want the job done...

Here's a link to the sccaforums/com thread on hotels for Walnut Ridge[/url]

Here's a link to the hotel info in Pocahontas, AR

I've booked a room at the America's Best Value Inn. Can't be any worse than where we stayed in Mineral Wells for the Divisional last summer, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper ($49 a night)!

I don't know. That sounds expensive for a TeePee with a hole in the roof.

I will pass along one tip. You normally run the Miata on fumes at autocross events. There is not a gas station close. You have to go all the way into town. In other words you will be sweating it if you start the trek with the gauge indicating below "E". Been there, made it.

Thanks for the tip, General. I'll make sure to bring an auxilliary can with me to the site.

Bring it with you on the trip, there are some scary parts where the only thing around you is farm land.

I'll be there, hopefully campaigning the Evo. Anyone going back for the Pro?

Edit: Doug, are you picking up some V710's for the ZX2?

I'll be there...short trip from Central KY, relatively speaking...
    I miss Texas! snif-snif....
....although, it seems I've spent more time in TX than KY since I moved...been in TX for almost three weeks, leaving a week from Monday night to go back to the snow and other ugly northern stuff...

Sweet! Hopefully Andy Hollis will have the STS2 Miata sorted by then. Watching you two duke it out will be fun.

Since I will be a total National Tour Newbie, figured I'd ask some of you experienced folks for some guidance.

I re-upped with the SCCA and have a current membership card, got signed up for the event (and have confirmation e-mail to prove it). I bought a 2006 rule book at Sundays event. Saw the note about the Gas Can and have a spot on the trailer for it.

What else do I need to have??
