    Default Nice to meet you!

    Hey there!

I live in Richardson and I got a NC Limited Edition.
I Love the car so far and my first mod will be to install MS lower springs.
I'm searching through the posts for a good shop in Dallas/Richardson/Plano to do the springs installation and the alignment (mazda dealer way too overpriced); any advise is more than welcome.
Now that I'm over 1K miles I would like to try the car on a track to see how it feels at high speeds / high rev with a more agressive driving
I know nothing about race and stuff and I don't intend to do any kind of competition, I'm just looking forward to "legally" enjoy the potential of the car.
Again any advise about racetracks near DFW would be greatly appreciated!

Why don't you come out to an autocross or try a school.

    Welcome to the madness!

Have you got a garage? If so, then just let us know when you've got the parts in hand, and I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of willing helpers here on the board. I know I'd be interested in getting my hands dirty with an NC just to see what they look like from underneath.

As for racetracks, the two around here are MotorSport Ranch and Texas Motor Speedway, both of which occasionally host track days.

Besides that, you can check out our calendar, which lists most of the local autocrosses. The local season starts in just a couple of weeks!

Welcome, An autocross is the most fun you can legally have in a car, in my opinion.

Don't forget Hallet Motor Speedway! Tulsa, Ok isn't that far, especially since you can get on the track for a fraction less than the local ones.

    And welcome to the group!

What those other guys are trying to say is... You are the best mechanic you know. With some guidance from any number of us, you'll have those shocks/springs swapped out in no time, and know exactly what was done to get there.

    Welcome to the madness!

    Thank you all

Autocross is a good idea, I'm gonna try that first.
Also the racetrack in Tulsa OK seems nice too and quite cheap.

I don't have a garage to install the springs myself and besides the car is new so I think for the first mod I'll find a shop to do it; and I'll need an alignment anyway.

Maybe I'll see some of you at the autocross then

    Thanks for the links.

    It's your money.

If this is what you decide to do, I only encourage you to avoid Alamo Autosports in Arlington. I wouldn't trust those guys to work on a Big Wheel, let alone a full-sized car.

We never have done an NC. Wonder how different (if any) the suspension setup is.

Plenty of us are willing to open up our garage for ya. Suspension is an easy task for most of us to do, so I'd save the $300 or more dollars and we can have a tech day for you.

I usually go to Hallet several times a year (not much lately...poor college kid ) but its a great track and super cheap, plus no hotel costs when ya crash at grandmas! Huge elevation change! Of course MSR will have some nice elevation change as soon as they finish the new track.

You just have to add the letter M inbetween NC... and we'd have no worries!
