    Default Bobcats hurt Miatas

Well while I was in Louisiana a week or so ago I hit a Bobcat..he ran right out in front of me on a substandard road.
I looked at the car at night, didnt seem to be anything major wrong with it.
After closely looking at the car I have noticed some pretty major cracks n the paint on the nose and there are some cracked clips and a missing nut.
I am about to go to Ace to get a bolt and nut to fix what I can.
I figure this is a good opportunity to fix whats wrong, so does anyone have info on where I can get the clips that connect the nose to the fender?
Also I need to get a new belly pan and the splash guards (inside the fender) on the left side.
Titus, didn;t you get a flashy new SS belly pan some time ago? if so where, and do they have them for NB's?
    Thanks.

You're going to have to get those OEM parts from a Mazda dealer. Check the Marketplace section on Miata.net for some choices (Trussville, etc).

Yes. Yes he did. The aluminium Beatrush belly pan now resides on my car!

I think I remember Titus mentioned that they don't make them for NB's...

yeah I have not been able to find one for an NB yet, most likely will get an OEM one.
Upon further examination I have noticed that it looks as if I am missing more front end parts...does anyone know how many bolts hold on the nose?...lol
I guess I need to take a good look at someone's NB to see just how many little plastic parts I am missing...there are a lot of holes on the nose and there is nothing to connect it to.
I guess I am missing some other plastic piece that ties it all together.
I will be going to pick up a Miata shop manual I guess to figure out what I am missing and get it ordered....it's kind of scary.

I bet a lot of that was missing when your car was fixed. I would find an NB to compare to.

Sorry to hear about that, stupid little critters need to learn to look both ways.

LOL, yeah funny thing is he survived it.

I am sure the guy just left some parts off the car when it was fixed, and cut as many corners as he could get away with.
I just hope it doesn't nickel and dime me to death, and it can be put back together right.

I couldn't get it to work, let me try it again tho as I am on dial-up and may not have given it enough time to load (4 hours)...LOL
I appreciate you going through the trouble, I hope it works this time.

I got it to work, I am for sure going to need #8 mine is just mangled and also all the plastic connectors and bolts...also the splash guards on the driver side.
I will need to take it all apart to see what else I need.

You say the cat survived, but did it lose any parts to your car? Ugh...

Actually, the first Beatrush Pan I saw was being installed on an NB. It went on to the NB from Canada that was on Tuner Transformation.

If you really want one, you need to be willing to wait a while as nobody in the US stocks them. I had Eddie at Adrenaline Racing import mine and it took months. The other thing to consider is that it doesn't work with Gary's intercooler setup. That is why the BUR is sporting mine now.

Been there, done that. You'd think having the original parts plus an entire front clip that they could get one complete set of hardware to put my bumper back on!

Well, at least it doesn't sound like the damage is too bad.

On the Beatrush pan, if it does not work with Gary's intercooler then I guess I will be going OEM.

As far as the Bobcat goes, he survived the hit but maybe didn't survive the night....on the way back from where I was going I saw a set of eyes in a field on the side of the road I assume that was him but I wasn't going to stop to look...lol
